Slow Down My Precious Cargo

Today I caught myself being daring
Leaning in dangerously too far
How I got the courage too....
So lets take this all the way
Or until we both freeze up
Glued, fixed in a dead on stare.
"You make me so nervous", it slipped right out i swear.
                                               Lets see whos "beat" can win this race.
                                               At the moment were both ahead of the tempo.
                                                            Only trailing off by measures
                       And I never got the chance and time to say
"Ohhh...I am somewhere else when Im with you."
At my melting point
(Your eyes burn through me so gently)
Inches away, I gracefully bowed down
Only inches away, I could feel you.
                           Could you help me pick the nerves off from my shoulders?
                      This awkward air inbetween us couldnt kill me any slower.
Play a gentle slow motion across my lips.
Close your eyes and make a wish.
Lets linger here for a few seconds more.
Act as if weve done this all before.
In our dreams, in our minds weve waited this out and held it all in.
